Then & Now
Tommy’s Antiques and Collectibles was built from a lifelong passion that started early. At just 12 years old, I developed a fascination with antiques and vintage items—the history, the craftsmanship, and the stories behind each piece. By 13, I was already setting up at my first market, learning the trade firsthand. That early hustle paid off when I made enough to buy my first laptop, which quickly became the foundation for my entry into online selling.
Not long after, an established antique dealer visited my home to look at a few items I had collected. That meeting turned into an unexpected opportunity. About a year later, the timing was right, and I accepted his offer to work with him. Under his guidance, I learned how to turn what had been a passion into a true business—understanding value, building relationships, and navigating the ever-changing antiques market.
When COVID reshaped the world, it also reshaped my path. I made the decision not to return to Loyola University and instead fully committed to growing my business. I opened my first retail location in Whitemarsh, Maryland, and as demand grew, expanded into a second location in my hometown of Bel Air. The growth was exciting and fast paced, but like many industries, antiques and collectibles began shifting.

To stay ahead, I made the strategic decision to close both retail locations and focus on what matters most—sourcing exceptional pieces and connecting with buyers in a more modern, flexible way. Today, Tommy’s Antiques and Collectibles is centered around buying, curating, and selling online while continuing to adapt to the future of the industry.
We’re not just participating in the evolution of antique and collectible shopping—we’re working to define it.
